Dananananana, today is my birthday!!!

I am one-year-old today. Mommy and Daddy can't believe it. I think they are silly.

We had my awesome birthday party on Sunday. Grandmama made me a choo choo train cake and Daddy decorated it. Then Mimi and Uncle Eliot came over and decorated the living room with balloons and streamers and a string of shiny letters that read "Happy 1st Birthday Frankie". And boy, did I rake in the loot! I got tons of books--lots of Dr. Seuss plus a really pretty re-telling of "The Three Little Pigs" from Greg and a gorgeous pop-up book of "The Wizard of Oz" from Mimi. Not to mention, I got this beautiful book from Aunt Cassandra and Uncle Tony, "My Very Own Name", that is all about me and how I got my name! (You can see more about this http://www.iseeme.com) AND, my granddad wrote and illustrated a book just for me featuring me and my little sister, Henley. I also got really great toys including two xylophones, a fab rubber ducky, a beautiful Brio train, a Funtime Tractor, and a little Radio Flyer scooter bike just my size! Plus, Grandmama knit me my very first Christmas stocking with my name on it and everything.

At my birthday party I wore one of my birthday outfits that Aunt Cassandra gave me (today I am wearing the other one). Everyone said I looked very handsome in my argyle sweater vest (aw, shucks!). I also ate my first cake. I didn't like it at first because the frosting stuck to my fingers but once I got some in my mouth it was yummy. I decided I like birthdays. I think I'll have a bunch more.

In other news, I can now sign "eat", "sleepy", "more", "bottle", and "Steve Holt".  If you don’t know who “Steve Holt” is I suggest you watch Arrested Development on DVD.

I'm also trying really hard to walk and I finally like to eat scrambled eggs.
